The NAJYRC was held in Lexington, KY July 27-August 1 and was truly and entire community effort.  Area 8 was represented with riders Noelle Varga (CIC*), and Lauren Lambert (CIC**).  Noelle’s team took the gold medal and Lauren rode to a sixth place finish individually!  Great job girls!
 
Jan Whitehouse is our YR coordinator and was on hand all week to help with all the details.  Dorothy Crowell was the YR coach and happily volunteered her time even though it was her daughter’s birthday AND her Corgi gave birth to a litter of puppies!!  Mary Fike was the event organizer and did another amazing job!  Sharing the KHP with the 2 week Hunter Jumper show, following FEI protocol, organizing officials and volunteers AND keeping competitors happy is an enormous job and one she does with a smile on her face.  A big THANK YOU! to Jan, Dorothy and Mary, as we all know time is a precious commodity!  We appreciate all you do for Area 8!
